Do our animal artists paint real-life portraits? This gallery raises the question and implies there is no definitive answer. The titles of these paintings represent human interpretations; but compare Mshindi's self-portrait, for instance, or Sunset Sam's "My Cousins" with the sweater portrait by Ruby in The Master gallery, and you can't easily dismiss that these paintings may represent the artists' interpretations of their own experiences.
