IAAPA's 2002 Souvenir of the Year Award winners are:

The Souvenir of the Year Awards honor excellence in merchandising by recognizing the most creative and innovative items offered at an IAAPA member facility during the 2002 season. The awards are judged based upon creativity, memory, impact and theme, and are given in three categories: soft goods, hard goods, and merchandise displays. Within each category there are two classifications: facilities with attendance less than one million per year, and facilities with attendance over one million visitors per year.

Runner Up: Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster, PA, USA

HM: Grant’s Farm, St. Louis, MO, USA

Merchandise Display at Faciltiy with Annual Attendance Over One Million

Winner: Silver Dollar City, Branson, MO, USA

Runner Up: Wet ‘N Wild Water World, Oxenford, Queensland, Australia

HM: Capilano Suspension Bridge, North Vancouver, BC, Canada

Soft Goods at Faciltiy with Annual Attendance Over One Million

Winner: Hopi Hari, Vinhedo, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Runner Up: Cedar Point, Sandusky, OH, USA

HM: Hersheypark, Hershey, PA, USA

Soft Goods at Faciltiy with Annual Attendance Under One Million

Winner: Playland – Pacific National Exhibition, Vancouver, Canada

HM: Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, Canon City, CO, USA

Hon. Mention: Plopsaland (Adinkerke-De Panne, Belgium)
